The equipment of the fencer includes the strong protective white color suit consisting of a jacket (pricks) also bridges; the same color long (up to a knee) socks and special footwear; a mask for a person with a metal grid and the device protecting a throat of the sportsman; a glove (it is put on a hand in which the fencer holds the weapon). As for fencers all body is an amazed surface, they do not carry any metallized clothes atop of a suit.

Through clothes of the fencer there passes the electric scheme connected with the registering device by wire or wireless system. Under a suit fencers put on the protective bibs maintaining impacts up to 800 Newton. Protectors for a breast stitched in to jackets of women-fencers also.

The sports sword (epee) - is a pricking weapon, consists of a steel flexible blade, protective bow and handle. Trihedral section blade (the maximal width of sides of 24 mm), becoming thin to the top, on which there is a tip with the mobile electrocontact device. The general length of a sword does not exceed 115 sm (blade does not exceed 95 sm), diameter of bow 135 mm, weight of a sword up to 750 gram.
